Jim played at our wedding reception and played beautifully. He was easy to communicate with and was able to adjust and was able to adjust to the venue's unique demands. He played a range of saxophones and it was great!!!!

Jim played for a dinner party that I hosted in my backyard on November 3rd for 15 of my friends. The music was over the top. Wonderful!! A few couples danced around the pool. It made for a perfect evening.

This was the second event we have hired Jim to play for our group - this time it was an afternoon Garden Party at the White Orchid at Oasis for about 60 people. Jim’s music provided the perfect backdrop for an elegant and festive cocktail hour and dinner party. He always knows exactly what to play for easy listening along with some nice music for dancing!

We had heard Jim play many times in a public venue and always enjoyed his music. He plays a wide repertoire of smooth jazz, mellow listening music and lots of fav standards that are suitable for dancing. Recently we asked Jim to play for us during a private cocktail and dinner party at the Captiva Island Yacht Club. Everyone really enjoyed the evening and we had many many compliments on our choice of entertainment. Thank you Jim (and his lovely wife Gail too!) Highly recommend him for a class act all the way!

Jim did a fabulous job providing background music for our daughter's wedding cocktail hour & dinner. We corresponded with Jim a number of times via email to outline our thoughts for the event. Jim was always prompt in his response. Jim took our direction and planned a wide array of musical selections that was pleasing for all who attended. His music was entertaining, the volume level was perfect, and his proficiency amazing. Jim was a delight to work with and added such a special touch to our cocktail and dinner hour! Our private club hired Jim Blackburn for a small event for about 50-60 members. He did an absolutely amazing job and impressed all of the members who attended. He arrived well in advance to make sure that he was set up on time before the event started. He brought his own lighting which was a perfect touch to the event. He was so great that a member hired in on the spot for their own private event. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional musician!

I would highly recommend Mr. Blackburn! Absolutely great! He was perfect for the occasion, very talented, kind and professional musician.
We hired Jim for a surprise 60th birthday for my dad. Jim was a real hit! He brought such great energy. He’s very talented and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely keep him in mind for future parties in FLA.
Just saw Jim at Rosy Tomorrows the past Sunday. Very Impressed! Played a wide selection of songs with his own twists. Came home and immediately got online to find his calendar. Looking forward to listening him play again

Jim played at the cocktail sunset hour at the Ritz Carlton Beach Club in Sarasota Florida. He was perfect--- from the musical selection to the pure beautiful sounds of his saxophone ....we are very fortunate to have found him ...... he played non stop for an hour at the initial cocktail reception of the wedding reception... looking dapper too!

Mr. Blackburn was very punctual and attentive to our requests. He made our gathering as intimate and familiar as we wanted it. His music was soothing and entertaining, lively and fun at other times. He is very personable and it made our Saturday night a memorable experience as it had the perfect mixture of art and entertainment. I will hire him again for future events as I want to listen to the variety of genres from different times that he can play.

Jim is a real pro--very talented with a great music selection. He played for us for four hours and everyone loved him. He even learned my parent’s favorite song so he could play it for them. He took our party to another level. And he was lovely to deal with.
